Skipper M.Johnson does make strange decisions which somehow he seems to get away with, winning the toss and batting first he decided to give Dich Richards a bat and sent him in at number 3, in a 40 overs match Dick managed to score 4 consuming 21 overs in the process until he was out.
So with the score at 86 for 4 and only 17 overs left Clyst needed to go for the runs and get to a respectable score.

Clyst IIs maintained their 2nd position in the 'D' East league with a hard earned winning draw over visitors Kentisbeare.
The home side batted first after winning the toss and started brightly thanks to openers Alan Baggs (59) & Dave Harris (43) who laid a solid platform for the later batsmen to build on.
Unfortunately for Clyst however, only Will Moore (27) and Extras (25) were able to add significant contributions and it was felt at tea that a final total of 194-9 might be a little below par.
