Clyst Hydon 1st XI v Stoke Gabriel (31st May 2008)
The Clyst Hydon boys were up for this game following the previous weeks' embarrasing defeat by Tiverton.
Batting first as usual I.Sutton got of to a flying start with 30 and contributions from Matt Fitt and young Pat Harris who got 17 apiece on a diffucult batting pitch.
Runs also coming from C.lewis who got 15 and K.Sercombe 11. After they fell M.Dudley saw them thru 151 for 9 and remained unbeaten on 18.
Stoke started well until wickets started tumbling with K. Sercombe getting 4 wickets, D.Nananda 2 wickets and W.Grieg bowled well to skittle out stoke for 103.
An excellent run out engineered by Will Grieg with a mighty throw-in from the boundary was a big talking point after the game! Must mention there was good fielding and catching from P.Garhnam.
Clyst Hydon 18 points, Stoke 5 points. Clyst Hydon still on top of C division and intend to stay there... Well done boys!
