Clyst Hydon v Clyst St. George June 8th 2008 (friendly)

On a bright sunny day for this local derby, Clyst St. George won the toss and elected to bat.

Clyst St. George started reasonbly well with D.Mort (20) K.Coe (35) C.Coe (54) and Pete Andrews unbeaten on 40 to end up with 192 for 9 in their 40 overs.

Pick of the Clyst Hydon bowlers was C. Lewis taking 3-34.

The chase started well with M.Dudley notching up a useful 56 and with the support of B.Wilkinson (34) built a good partnership to take the chase close to the target.
When Dudley got out D. Nananda stepped up and scored a valuable 31.
It was left to M. Johnson to see things out to the end but uncontrolable swing led to too many extras being given away this sealed the win for Clyst Hydon.
