Fielding first skipper Mike Johnson suprised everyone by opening the bowling with C.Lewis who paid his trust back with an inspiring opening spell of 5-23
*Lewis put on a magnificent display during his 8 overs to send Thorverton struggling to 45-5 however, a good batting display from G.Greed (28) and C.Noon (36) managed to eventually take them to 155 all out in 31.5 overs. S.Hodgson dismissing them both.
In reply Clyst Hydon easily chased the target down with good contributions from C.Holmes (34), M.Johnson (28), M.Doyle (24) and C.Lewis (23) giving 2009 skipper Johnson his first win of the season.
G.Turnball 2-24 was Thorvertons' best bowling performance. Thoverton 155 all out (31.5 overs) G.Greed (29) ,C.Noon (76), Extras (24) C.Lewis 5-23-8 and S.Hodgson 3-45-7.5
