Clyst Hydon vs Thorverton (Evening League) 19/5/09
Thorverton snatched a dramatic last-ball victory at Clyst Hydon with a huge 6 over long-off from Adam Staniforth. The home side had earlier posted 142-4 from their 20 overs, Chris Holmes top scoring with 41 and Chris Jelley with 35.
Kobi Griggs got the Thors reply off to blistering start with a rapid 40, good support coming from Gareth Hess (29). The visitors then lost a couple of wickets in the middle-order to Chris Jelley (2-41) but kept ahead of the required run-rate until 12 runs were needed from Jelley's final over. That became 4 needed from the final delivery, which Staniforth launched out of the ground!
