Clyst Hydon vs Feniton (Evening League) 9/06/09
Ian Sutton continued his superb run of form in a comfortable 44-run victory over Feniton, with his second consecutive unbeaten Evening League century. Sutton (107no) posted a stand of 67 for the opening wicket with Richard Baggs (22) and then a further unbroken partnership of 123 with Mike Cliff (56no). Clyst finished on 190-1 from their 20 overs with Adrian Pullin taking the only wicket to fall. Feniton, however, will rue dropping Sutton four times on the way to his ton.
In reply, the visitors found runs hard to come by against the miserly bowling of John Rhodes (2-17) but opener Brian Cann carried his bat for a patient 52no with useful support from Mark Kingdom (19). Feniton had reached 146-4 when the overs ran out.
